There are people who leave a mark and mentors who lay the foundation for learning and motivation by teaching their students to believe in themselves. Thomas spreads the energy, support and enthusiasm needed to overcome many of the obstacles in life. Thanks to his support, the dissertation work never feels like a lonely undertaking. He always has time for his students and he tries to support everyone to reach their true potential. If you are feeling down, he gently hands you a ladder to come up again. If you are in a flow he lets you run and just makes sure that you don’t run in the completely wrong direction or over the edge. He is there every time and at any time if you have a question and through his answers he supports our ability to find solutions to problems and he doesn’t give up until we really understand. Even when asking the same questions over and over again, Thomas stays calm and never gives up. He truly has the feeling for the amount and kind of support needed in good and bad times.
